Hi -

Thank you for your quick response! I am still a bit confused on organization, etc.

In eclipse what is an EOModeler Framework?

I do understand that in Java I can get at everything, especially after reading all
the prototype switching in code, etc.

So do I have model1 with just prototypes:
EOJDBCPrototypes
MYSQLPrototypes
DB2Prototypes

and model2 with all my applications entities, etc.?

All in my Eclipse project?

Thanks again.

OK -

I have read and re-read the section in Practical WebObjects and of
course EOModeler help.

Nowhere did I ever find that you could have two models in the same
project and the one
model would see the other's prototypes. Ok, so I finally figured that
out.

Now my question is do I put my prototypes in the same model in eclipse
or do I put them in
No
separate models in Eclipse? Finally, do I need a separate framework for
No, u need the EOModeler Framework.

them, or is that just
a convenience for future projects? I need one for MySQL and another for
DB2 (As an aside has
anyone created a DB2 prototype entity?).

Just trying to go a bit slow here and trying to understand a bit more
about the structure
of where these EOModels go with Eclipse.
i think you see the problem from a worng point of view.
you want the Models see the other classes/Enteties of the other model?
i would say, it looks like this: you can see both classes/ enteties in the
java code.

Thanks again. James Cicenia

Sako.
