to-one fault: determine if will take trip to db?

  • Subject: to-one fault: determine if will take trip to db?

Let's say I have a to-one fault. isFault() returns true, it really is a fault.

Sometimes, clearing that fault will require a trip to the db. Other times, it won't--when an appropriate snapshot can be found. What's the best way for me to determine if clearing the fault will require a trip to the db?
