entity based batch faulting?

  • Subject: entity based batch faulting?

That feature where you can set a "batch faulting size" on an entity? Does anyone know exactly how it works? Or anything about how it works at all?

It's not working the way I expect it to. It may be it only works for your typical "EOF created faults", that is faults created for relationsihps, from fetched objects.

In my case, I'm manually creating a bunch of faults. With EOUtilities.faultFor... methods. If I manually create 10 faults of the same entity in the same EC, when one of those faults is cleared---I'd expect it to take others with it, as a result of the batch faulting size set on the entity. But this does not seem to be happening----the batch fault size set on the entity seems to have no effect on how these manually created faults are cleared.

Does anyone have any light to shed on this?
