I have been wrestling with this sudden, unexpected 'feature' myself
recently. I beat my head against the wall for a couple of hours a week
ago and magically things were working again. Well, the darn thing bit
me in the ass again today and I finally, FINALLY figured out what fixed
things for me. (Can you tell how exasperated I was?)
None of the suggestions below worked for me.. What DID work was using
'Add Frameworks...' instead of 'Add Files...' When I added it via
'Files', Xcode would only ever treat it as a folder with a bunch of
files. I couldn't change the 'type' of the folder, cause it was just a
folder. In hindsight this all makes sense now. :-/ Just a little gotcha
for those of us not too experienced with the development environment.
I hope this helps someone else!
