Yes, this is somewhat annoying. The reason I started developing on
Windows in the _first_ place was becuase at the time I started using
WO, the Windows dev tools were _better_ supported than the Mac dev
tools. There was even a time around 4.5, if memory serves, that there
were no dev tools for Mac, you _had_ to use Windows!

I would second that impression. It's really sad, actually, seeing
WebObjects being limited to Mac. I can see Apple's reasoning behind
it... you like the the framework, buy a Mac. That would hold some
ground if Apple's tools were perfect, but as many noted, there are many
deficiencies when it comes to xTools and Java, and even more when it
comes to WebObjects. Also it worries me to see WebObjects user base
being limited to one development platform. Afterall, WebObjects is not
much more than a big set of frameworks. I doubt there'll be a horde of
developers rushing to buy a Mac so they can develop a "server side web
application" that could be deployed on other platforms.
Come on Apple, judging by the support of WOLips and the fact it exists,
there is need for WO tools on other platforms.
