Good point but things would be better if Apple was selling a
development version of the EOF and WebObjects frameworks without the
development tools. Of course you could buy a deployment license I
guess...
Then there is the issue where, if Apple makes some integral changes to
the way frameworks integrate with IDEs, there will be certain delay
before WOLips team can reverse engineer these changes (unless they are
in contact with Apple)... So I would say that NOT having tools supplied
by Apple on other platforms, is NOT an incentive for developers on
those platform to take up WebObjects.
Actually, out of interest, what options does one have now when buying
WebObjects 5.2 so they could develop it using Eclipse and WOLips? How
does it look from a legal and licensing standing.

... I'm not making any value judgement, Mac vs PC, except to say the
existence of WOLips provides no incentive for Apple to enhance its PC
tools.
