Pat of WO's problem relates to more than just the tools. It is a victim of its own efficiency. Why are there so many (JSP / .NET / ASP / add your own flavour) developers out there? Because you NEED lots of developers to delivery anything.

WO just makes it too easy...1-2 developers doing the work of 10 ASP.NET developers. Maybe if Apple gave us some really great tools...equivalents of VS.NET...we would be happy. But I still doubt that it would lead to there being a huge number of WO developers. It is just too big a framework for you average 'Developer' to understand.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Well that pretty much cements the fate of EOModeler on PC. Should we hold a wake now or wait till it's completely dead?

If it's any consolation, I know of two software development companies that have bought WO as a test, liked it and are now considering buying G5s for development. This is hardly going to be the norm for the vast majority of developers out there. And it is not going to encourage students and freelancers to try out WO.
I don't think this cements the fate of WO though... just that we are not going to get the sort of numbers in developers and market penetration we'd like with this neat little framework..

Actually There was a statement at WWDC saying that the new EOModeler is developed in ObjC with Cocoa. When is that going to run on PC....
