one that is at the top of my list is .Net on Linux/Unix/MacOS/etc.
With .Net on Linux/Unix/MacOS/etc you get many advantages, you have
access to the corporate accounts and the biggest market segment, you
are free to deploy in any platform, you have access to many components,
access to many resources, books, etc., etc., etc.
