I am collecting information for the site right now. We should be able to
turn the site live later this week. It will be an evolving project with
capabilities being added as the site matures. Please forward any white
papers you have including your contact information so we can make sure
everyone gets credits.
For the initial launch we should have the following functionality available:
* user registration - this will be used if someone want to contribute
content to the site
* case studies - this will provide some real world examples on how
WebObjects has been used in various projects. The case study format is
modeled after the format Gartner Group uses.
* FAQ - the FAQ will be used primarily for high level questions about
webobjects - not technical ones - save those for the regular mailing lists.
* white papers - this will feature the ability to upload a Word, PDF or
other types of documents in addition to manually creating a white paper. The
papers can cover any WebObjects related topics from how-to's to what was I
thinking
* bios- this is an area where developers can post some information about
themselves - linked to the case studies and white papers so people can get
more info about you. We are undecided about providing emails due to the high
spam factor - suggestions are welcomed.
I think this will cover most of the things I have been seeing on the news
groups. Please let me know if I missed anything critical for the first
stages.
I am looking for volunteers to help manage the site. If you are interested
please drop me a private note so I can set you up as an administrator.
