EO Only in Java

Before I ask, this is not a question about licensing, moral issues, or
anything of the sort. I need to know how to do this from a technical
standpoint. Thanks, in advance, to those who elect to respond.

I have a fellow developer that I would like to work on a project with
me. His job will be to build a compiled application to hit a back end
database from an application that I am currently building using
WebObjects, EO & OpenBase. Is it possible to extract out any
libraries, jars, class files, etc. so that he may develop this app
using Eclipse (on a PC) without installing WebObjects on his machine?
If so, what pieces will I need? If not, then why not?

Thanx,
Ryan
