Janine,

I recommend getting at least a basic understanding of Java before learning anything about WebObjects. Start with Sun or a book about Java programming. Then move to WO technologies.

The Apple doc you mention may be a bit difficult if you're new to programming in general ... "The chief assumption this guide makes about your background is that your are a programmer. From a multitude of languages, you have used at least one, ideally two or more." I haven't read it, though, so I could be wrong.

Nathan

Would I be better off reading Apple's various Java docs, starting with Java for WebObjects Developers, or a more generic Java tutorial like the one from Sun? I imagine the latter would be better and more up-to-date, but that the former would be more helpful in learning the WO Way. Thoughts?

thanks,

janine
