It's a bad idea to put something into the constructor of an EO because
the object is not yet in an EditingContext.
The IP address can be found in several different request header fields
depending on your application server / OS / WO version / build mode
(develop/deploy) / whatever. I believe there is a reliable solution in
Project Wonder. ;-) If you don't want to use Wonder inspect the code
and learn from that, there are many interesting things to find.
Cheers,
Dirk

Seems that a dump of the database fixed it. Don't know what went wrong
but is all working now.
Thanks everyone for there help.
Just a quicky regarding the commandments, with regards to #1. Why
should you not put stuff in the initializer of the an EO?
How can you get the ip address of a request? I tried looking through
the headers, but there is nothing there.
Thanks,
Greg
