Does anyone is using Unicode (UTF8) for the database server?

This is a follow up of my previous thread about MySQL and (lack of) unicode support.
It seems that postgreSQL is working with UTF8, but it also seems there are specific things to do (plugin, eomodel?!).
Could anyone using postgreSQL and UTF8 tell me how hard it could be to move to it (the database can be erased, so it's much like an installation)?

Thanks a lot

Xavier
