Hello Mr "WebObjects Email",
unfortunately you already started the debate.
And you happily continue it ;-)
i trust your experiences in both OS or Mashines here, bacouse this is
not
the same mashine.
A Mac is different from Windows, therefore you cannot use it, therefore
it is worse... Might be true for you but giving general recommendations
based on your subjective views?
i want to know one thing first of all. was your first computer a mac?
No.
if yes, you will never understand me :)
I do not understand you despite having used Windows before.
and if you talk about WO on mac or windows as i mean and not talking
about
playing, make music, etc....
i am sure windows is better.
This is _your_ opinion.
imagin a programmer who works life time on windows and suddenly he must
change to mac to program WO.
So what? I did that.
1. if you have mac right now infront of you. tell me where is the End,
pos1,
Copy, Paste buttongs and short cuts?
Take a close look at your keyboard and the Edit menu - what's the
problem?
Example:
Copy: Apple-C
Paste: Apple-V (just uses the Apple-key instead of the Ctrl key - huge
problem?)
2. show me the methods of a class as Eclipse does? btw this thing is
years
old. on Mac even the xcode doesnt support it.
Use the Mac version of Eclipse if you just cannot live without that -
or IDEA - or whatever you want...
How does that relate to the platform question? PBWO for Windows cannot
do that as well.
In fact, one thing is correct - another platform might work differently
in some respects, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
dont forget WE programmers work years long to make the life esear so
dont
tell me to change my behaviour, the computer must changes its
behavour. and
if you understood this. you will be successful in your work life as a
programmer :)
And despite those facts, you are using Windows ;-)
pease!
BTW Having a system-wide spell checker in Mac OS X is definitely a good
idea.
