I don't want to bitch, but I think it is quite poor on Apples part to
still have legacy obj-c naming conventions in there. Since WO has been
java for a few years now they should have changed NSDecimalNumber to
BigDecimal, NSNumber to Number, etc. It just gives a person starting
out of 'WTF is going on.' It was the first little pinch on the steep
learning curve that I hit when learning WO.

It looks like the folks that make EOGenerator need to come out with an
update that doesn't just look at the Value Class (Java) property of
the attribute. It would be nice if Apple would fix EOModeler so that
things weren't so wacky.

OK -
I had originally in 5.2.2 used EOModeler with
Number, BOOL and "c" for my mySQL database and via
EOGenerator created my Gap Pattern classes and then
shadowed those with isAttributeName type methods.
this worked,,, then I upgraded to 5.2.3 and got ClassCastExceptions
everywhere. OK, I went by hand and converted all those Number
to Boolean classes and that cleaned up my ClassCastExceptions with
the nice side effect that the new Booleans worked like a charm without
the need for the shadow classes.
However, I can't figure out how to get EOModeler with EOGenerator to
generate automatically the classes with Boolean and not Number.
That's my experience,
