Hello,
We do this routinely in our product. There is no real problem on doing
this except for one caveat: You need to have a strategy for caching or
you are going to slow your application to a crawl. The issue is the the
WO caching mechanism is not public so you are on your own. If you
implement an application wide caching you must be carefull that the
editing context may have disappeared when you access your component.
