Hello Cliff,
Why is that? Cocoa-Java-EOF seems to be a powerful platform to develop
enterprise applications.
We are a devoted Apple "shop" running all kind of iMac, G4, G5, Powerbooks,
Xserve, Xraid (and looking into Xsan) but yet we are extremely limited in
our development options.
Else than Filemaker, which we are trying to move away from, there are almost
no alternative to develop Cocoa-Database based application. The Java-based
option from WO produces slow and "user interface challenged" application
that are not up to the standard we want for our next system.
Why should we default to a Java UI when we have invested so much in Apple
hardware and software. We want to fully benefit from OS X, Cocoa and the
native platform. We want to develop an application that will on par with the
UI of other native tools that users work with.
Cliff, I would appreciate if you could go a step further from simply denying
me from using this powerful tool and provide me with an expert opinion on
the technical orientation my project should take to meet my requirements
while leveraging our substantial investment in Apple products.
If I should also move away from WO what should I turn myself to?
Thanks
PS: thanks Michelle, Ray and Daryl for your support !!!
