Funny this should come up on the list now - I have only in the last few
days started playing with Cocoa-Java-EOF. I have come across the same
difficulty - a complete absence of any documentation. However, I've
managed to get a simple single table Master-Detail application working
nicely. I'm now having a look at getting images out of the DB in to
NSImageView. There are tiny shreds of documentation that seem to
suggest that this is pretty straight-forward
(http://developer.apple.com/documentation/WebObjects/Reference/API/com/
webobjects/eointerface/cocoa/EOCocoaImageViewPlugin.html)
But I can't seem to find anything that tells me how I might actually do
this. Any pointers?

Hello,
I'm starting a new development project and to fully leverage Apple's
user
interface (UI widgets, raw native speed, etc.) I have chosen to take
the
Cocoa-Java-EOF approach.
But I'm having a lot of trouble finding good documentation to help me.
I
have been able to develop a fully functional smaller application but
I'm
sure I'm not using EOF to its full strength and I'm sure I am doing
some
things the wrong way too. (not using the EditingContext.lock()
function for
example).
So have I chosen the right development path here (Cocoa-Java-EOF)? I
feel
terribly alone my questions and potential bugs.
Is this development path viable or am I cornering myself?
Is there other alternatives to develop native Cocoa - (Java
preferably) -
Database application that will be used by multi concurrent users (15+).
Thanks all !!!
