To be fair, there is a difference between a company allowing you to use something, and them offering to help (support) you to do that. If you imagine Apple suddenly removing the Cocoa WO option from XCode, you can almost hear the cries (admittedly from a minority of users) saying just because it's not supported doesn't mean it shouldn't be available!
