Saving outside of the current transaction

  • Subject: Saving outside of the current transaction

Hello,

I am pretty sure I knew how to do this in WO4.5, but now cannot find it
anymore :( Please help:

I need to update a specific table in a database, *without affecting the
current transaction* (in the session's default editing context, and its
data store, yadda yadda...). I kind of remember a new database channel
needs to be created and used for this, but can't find the details...

The situation is that the user is in the middle of a transaction, and I
need to store a row into a separate "LOG" table: the row is to stay
there even if the user rejects the transaction.

TIA,
---
Ondra Hada
