Are you referring to Practical WebObjects? If so, I hate to disappoint you but the delay was due to internal issues. I don't know any more about the future of WO than you.

There are about a million reasons why a release date would change, but, given the last time WebObjects was updated, a new release of WebObjects becomes a more likely reason.

If a new version does come out, I hope Apple continues to offer the free demo, or lowers the price.
