Fabien,
What exactly are we supposed learn from unjaring and examining the
manifest file?
I was really hoping that someone could explain the details of the
procedure of signing a jar file, including it in the Web Server Target
(Client-side) and having Java Web Start download the signed jar files
to the client machine where it will have access to classes outside the
local "sandbox."

We have a client application that is using Java Advanced Imaging API.
We are trying to have Webstart download the required JAI jar files
(jai_codec.jar, jai_core. jar & mlibwrapper_jai.jar) to the client.
As this process requires the jar files to be signed, we signed the
jar files and added to the frameworks & libraries folder and merged
them to the webserver target. However, we are getting the following
error, "no manifest section for signature file entry".
