This thread was from a while back. I ran into this odd problem where a
new machine using this version of the postgresql plugin would have
this error on creating a new object in the editing context (error in
save):
[2004-11-10 10:44:43 PST] <WorkerThread6> An exception occurred while
trying to save the information: java.lang.IllegalStateException:
Adaptor com.webobjects.jdbcadaptor.JDBCAdaptor@86c40d failed to
provide new primary keys for entity 'Note'
I tried to figure out what is going wrong and where, and by replacing
/Library/Frameworks/PostgresqlPlugIn.framework/Resources/Java/PostgresqlPlugIn.jar
with the hexdreams version from my production systems, the error goes
away and objects are correctly added into the EC. The size of the
working file is 6589, whereas the problematic version is 12078. Not
sure where things break, but I thought I'd best report it.
