Joe and everyone,
I sympathize with your situation, because it's exactly what I
experience when using the PostgresqlPlugIn from wonder. It DOES work,
but there's no documentation about what settings are needed to make it
work. For example, the plug in is supposed to specify the JDBC driver
without me needing to specify it in the Model itself, but I've found
that this feature doesn't work. But now I'm not so sure... every time
I spend time trying to use the PostgresqlPlugin, I kind of flounder
about with configuration options until i get primary keys to generate
properly. It's the first hurdle I always encounter and I never
remember how to get it right the first time. Next time I'll document
it.
But the issue still remains with my vertical inheritance problem. I'm
not able to modify any EO attributes which are inherited through
vertical inheritance. Is this a quirk with me and I gave up too soon
because of pressure from deadlines or is this something that nobody has
noticed because vertical inheritance is dissed hardcore by the experts
and thus nobody uses it?
