Talking of which... considering that everybody and their mother-in-law
seem to finally have succumbed to the discreet charm of Lucene [1]...
did anyone bother writing a nice EO and/or JDBC adaptor to
transparently integrate both worlds?

In a nutshell, such an adaptor could either automatically bridge the
EO/Document realms (by converting EOs into Documents, EOQualifiers
into Queries, etc) and/or be used as a substitute database in its own
right.

Thoughts?
