Ray,
I'm trying to reference
EOGeneralAdaptorException.
I have a save button which is calling saveChanges on the editingContext. According to what I understand so far, this could emit a EOGeneralAdaptorException if someone modified the record after the initial fetch and before this save attempt. I'm trying to implement the example given in "Recovering and Refaulting" in chapter 8 of the Enterprise Objects document.
By "java client" do you mean the client side (as opposed to the server side) of a java client application or "java client" as opposed to a "web application"?
If you ment client side it would explain all the conflicting information I've been reading.
It also means I have to figure out how to call a server side method from the client side...
Thanks for the help,
Alex

Alexandre,
Bit rusty on this, but I believe that package is not available to the java client part. Are you referencing anything from eoaccess in one of your classes on the client side (Web Server)?

I'm working on a non direct java client application.
In my EOInterfaceController I'm tring to catch a EOGeneralAdaptorException (for optimistic lock failures).
It won't compile with the following error:
import com.webobjects.eoaccess;
<x-tad-smaller>Customer.java:15: package com.webobjects.eoaccess does not exist
</x-tad-smaller>
I've read several posts claiming that this error will go away if the controller is reassigned to the Application Server target. I understood from the release notes that it should be under Web Server. Which is right?
