10.3.9 Update-Java crash

FYI. I just updated one of my machines last night to 10.3.9 and java is crashing in the background (exception below). So, in case this problem turns out to be widespread, I'd recommend you not install 10.3.9 on any machine you need to continue doing development on.

As a comparison, I also installed 10.3.9 server on a test server and, aside from hanging during "optimization" part of the install, it appears to be running fine.
