Template Generation Issue

I am using WebObjects 5.3 and XCode 2.1 on Mac OS X 10.4. I can't seem to create Java source files for a newly created EOModel via EOModeler. After selecting the menu "Property->Generate Java Files..." I repeatedly get the error:

Template Generation
Unable to write file [path].

The path is correct, writable and happens to be the same directory where EOModeler is saving the EOModel itself which is the projects directory. The directory is owned by the same user as is running the EOModeler application and is located on the same machine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,
