Florijan,
I would recommend working all the way through Joshua Marker's book
first and then getting into the Apple Examples and other WebObjects
books. I kept trying to struggle through Apple's docs for several
months before I got Joshua's book. It is definitely not comprehensive,
but it gives you enough of the foundation so you can figure other
things out and make better sense of the Apple documentation.
I would recommend setting aside the time and working through the whole
book (actually doing the examples yourself) in no more than 10 days.
If you spread it over longer period of time you may not get as clear of
overall picture of the technology and that is where the book really
excels.

so, I want to go deeper into it, especially into the underlying
mechanisms, techniques available and so on... can you give a few
starting points (books, sites, whatever) for further learning that are
suitable for my level of knowledge.
