[OT] (504) Gateway Timeout

  • Subject: [OT] (504) Gateway Timeout

Hi All,

I'm using Axis web services in a WO application which runs a timer every 24 hours to synchronize our local users with the remote severs DB.
The entire process take about 8 minutes to complete. However it normally throws an exception "(504) Gateway Timeout" (see below) in the middle of the update process. Each time the exception is thrown its is from a different line of code.

From what I have read (http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E504.html and etc) this is caused by slow communication between the 2 servers. Is there any thing I can do from my end to fix this ?

TIA David
