Start Here:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/WebObjects/WOGettingStarted/index.html
I believe that's the best starter document for anybody beginning on Windows if you absolutely have to. OS X tools are SOOO much sweeter though.
hope it helps,

Hi,
I just purchased WO 5.2 and am running it on Windows 2000 Professional. I like Java development, and things are peachy, with some exceptions which I hope you can help me with:
1) There seems to be no online help for the application suite. For example, from Project Builder, the Help/Using the Tools command yields this message: "File C:\Apple\Documentation\Developer\YellowBox\Maps\UsingTools.html does not exist." From within WebObjects Builder, pressing the book icon on the Inspector panel yields this message: "Sorry, documentation does not exist for "WOSubmitButton"." The Java Class Browser help gives the message: "Help isn't available for NT." RuleEditor also says: "Help isn't available for NT." And InterfaceBuilder Help says nothing.
I have read through the documentation which came with the software ("Inside WebObjects Web Applications") and bought Joshua Marker's book (for OS X, so there are important differences in the behavior of the softare). Also, after searching my hard drive, I have found some HTML and PDF documents which are references on foundation classes, and WO dynamic elements (Many developer document links for these were broken, however, and the referenced documents aren't on my drive.) My current process for working in WO would be better if the contextual help menus of my applications sent me to usable information.
2) When a project is run from Project Builder, there are some buttons for stepping through the code. However, I have not seen any documentation on the use of these tools. Can you direct me to a document on using these to debug? (Right now, my only debugging options are to read the compiler and runtime output of my application, and to insert System.out.println() calls in my Java code.)
Thank you,
Rick Penner
