That being said, I'd love to see a comparative writeup of pgSQL,
OpenBase, FrontBase, MS SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle from the WO POV.
In a nutshell:
I guess I meant somewhat larger than the carob seed you seemed to infer
from my comment :-)
- PostgreSQL, beside being a pain to install, is a pain to use (oh why,
oh why, oh why are identifiers case insensitive by default?!?!?)
Because that's the ANSI standard? Or do we only use standards as a club
to beat Microsoft?
- MySQL? Ever heard of binary keys? Apparently not [1].
- FrontBase? Does that still exists? :o)
- Sybase and Oracle. Solid. Just Work (SM). Need a stelar team of DBAs
to keep them running smoothly.
Anything like that out there?
Why don't you write one?
Can I start with the above and direct all flames in your direction? :-)
