It does ... I remember strange things happening when an OpenBase db should
run a few weeks with a little bit of traffic ... :-(

OpenBase never again.

FrontBase? We are happy with a free license for development and a free
license for smaller installations. As far as I know our customers use better
licenses.

PostgreSQL - dunno ... looks interesting.
