Eclipse (the Java compiler actually) requires the Java files to be in a
directory structure that matches the package names. If you don't use
packages, you might be able to get away with jamming everything into
one directory.
It is worth noting that you can (and should, IMHO) also create a
directory structure that matches the package names in xCode.

Yep, Eclipse+WOLips keeps all java files under src directory.
I'm using CVS and keep all project files (.java, .api, .wod, .html) in
repository as is. I wanted to move to Eclipse+WOLips but then I would
have
had to rearrange files in the repository. That was a no no for me :(

Is that src a must for Eclipse? Anybody has an answer?

Kieran,
At least on the Windows side (and I think on OSX as well) Eclipse uses
a
different project file structure so once you're in Eclipse for a given
project you'd have to stay there. You can switch back, but I think it
would be a matter of building a new Xcode project by adding resources
from your existing Eclipse project.

Regarding Eclipse commitment level...
1) If I begin working a project on Eclipse and midway through decide
to switch to XCode, is it easy to switch the project over?
2) Can I work with both Eclipse and XCode on the same OS X machine
(in other words is there any interference in Libraries, Extensions,
etc.
