Further investigation reveals that it only works if you copy the models into the project directory (mark the 'copy' box when you're adding the model to the Resources group). This is disappointing because we were keeping the models in a separate directory because they are used by more than one project, and we only want to have one copy of the models. Now, each project will have to have their own copy of the models which causes a maintenance problem.

I also tried creating symbolic links (ln -s in the Terminal) in the project directory. Xcode then references the models as if they were copied into the project directory, but the EOModeler still does not recognize the other models. I don't think the EOModeler follows symbolic links.

If anyone has a workaround, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark

I just tried creating a new project, adding two models and creating a new relationship between entities on the models. There was no problem. MacOSX 10.3.7, WO 5.2.3, XCode 1.5. Why don't you try the same quick test?

David
