thanks for the recommendation. i already started playing around with
webobject mostly following the online documentation on apple site which is
good but still thought some additional help would be great.

BTW i'm presently using a mac machine and using xcode and webobjects
builder to do the development. are there tools other than this. say i
wanted to work on the windows platform? our department has mixed people
using mac and windows so we don't want the development to be restricted to
mac.

also i was trying to find the eclipse plugin for webobjects but couldn't
find for webobjects 5.3. can you recommend something easy to use.
