On a related note, I recently gave the docs for Project Wonder's
ERJavaMail a refresher so it covers all the configuration options and
has some updated examples (and added authenticated smtp support).
Obviously a little more of a commitment than WOMailDelivery, but it
has some nice additional features that might make it worthwhile for you.

Use JavaMail from java.sun.com. Easy to setup, eays to use.
Use WOMailDelivery if you want to mail WOComponents. Under 5.3 it will
use JavaMail automatically if both activation.jar and mail.jar are
in the
app classpath at runtime.
