Open source and WO - Was [Re: WO 5.3...confusion]

I've noticed that many have switched to open source alternatives.

I wonder if it would help adoption of WebObjects if it was open source.  Similar to the way Apple seems to have done it for the WebKit, WebCore and _javascript_Core as of monday at WWDC 2005.

There is a webkit.opendarwin.org web site and the CVS repository is live and welcomes bug fixes.
