Hi Shehryar,

Haven't heard from you in a long time! It's nice to see you around. I agree that WOBuilder is often more trouble than it's worth, but for quickly wiring up some simple UIs it can't be beat. Once it gets too complex, I switch to source mode. The more recent WOBuilder is better than it was in 1999. And the new one released with WO 5.3 looks very promising indeed. It still has a few bugs and usability issues that need to be worked out, but it will be a significant improvement over the old one.

wow - I'm surprised people actually use WOBuilder.

I gave up on it a long time ago - starting writing the .html / .wod files by hand.

Much faster, much more control over names of the WebObjects tags.

Not to mention that it totally can't handle WOComponentContent and doesn't know what do with

<webobject name="fooBarString"/>

vs

<WEBOBJECT NAME="fooBarString"></WEBOBJECT>

Yes, that is why I wanted to see if I could get the old one running.

Whoa! What did I type? More coffee. I meant WOBuilder. The new WOBuilder is a tad irritating in its present state.

You mean instead of XCode's built in jive?

I went into XCode preferences and changed the file type association for emodeld files to EOModeler and it not longer tries to handle them itself.

Is that what you meant?

Has anyone found out how to make this work?
