Hi
I'm modelling an application that needs to store measurements as
Imperial values. Eg. 6'4" x 19" 1/2 x 2"7/8 and can't decide what data
types to use (conversion would not be appropriate in this case).
I've never had to do this before, but had a go at it and only came up
with a few bad ideas; 'asked a few learned friends who scratched their
heads; 'asked my colleagues who had some really silly ideas; 'slept on
it (as you do); did some web searches and was surprised to find nothing
useful, and am still none the wiser.
Surely this is a well-known issue for American programmers, can anyone
guide me as to the best-practice approach with EOM, please?
Best regards
Lachlan
