Yeah.. I though about it a bit and saw it wasn't such a good idea to
have that interaction...
One of the values to having an EO is being able to use it in multiple
applications. For example, one nastiness I know of happened because
people were storing WOSession in an EO. All kinds of fun happened
with that.
Maybe if you can give us an outline of what you're trying to do we can
make some suggestions. If it's a configuration thing maybe you can
store it as a java property?
The thing is that I need to generate file paths dynamically from object
attributes. But need the start of the path to indicate which folder to
start storing my generated folder tree in. And that is fixed on the
application level.
I switched to a system where I have a public String
pathForObject(MyObject anObject){...} method in my application class.
