I agree! I have a 5.2.3 app running on my mini mac tiger server. I get
very weird error messages in my startup
log. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything obvious but until it goes
away it is disconcerting and a probable
performance hit too.
Hopefully, by late next week I will have 5.2.4 on my development
machine... this of course is a real pain as
I also have 2 XServes running running WebObjects too! This means a
forced upgrade of those XServes to Tiger.
Something I really don't like to do until a point upgrade happens.
Might have to live on the edge here a bit.

developers often work on the newest tools, they are (should be the
most stable), and deploy to older systems.
This is a very, very, *very* bad idea. You should definitely use the
same dev- and deployment platform, otherwise debugging and tracking
down strange errors will be an absolute nightmare.
