have a look at /etc/hosts and be sure you have an entry with your servers
IP-number resolved with a valid domainname (both are entered there
tab-seperated). then ensure that your monitor is configured to either use
THAT ip or THAT domainname as host.
this often helped me fix such a problem if we configured a new server. you
have to restart your machine for this to take any effect.
check if your app really does not start. you can have a look at the logfile.
just provide a valid logfile-path if you configure the app via monitor. the
logfile gets written as soon as the app starts.
if all this fails, i would drop the SiteConfig.xml monitor writes for its
configuration, i would check the access-rights of the application (is
wotaskd allowed to start the app?)
there is so much stuff you could check...
