Can I ask for a little clarification here?

This depreciation notice is NOT the confidential announcement that apple made at WWDC?

But the fact that there is a new version of webobjects in xCode 3... means... what that apple is going to continue to support and develop Webobjects for the foresee-able future?

The depreciation notice just means that apps you develop on xCode 2.4 will not run on the Webobjects version that rolls with xCode 3? And that the 2.4 tools EOModeler and WOBuilder are being replaced with new tools? Am I right here? or am I way off...

I know there is a NDA... but any light that could be shed with out breaking that agreement would be most apperciated... I am more confused now than before.

Thanks.

Mac

Hello,

How are those release notes coming?

Xcode 2.4: http://developer.apple.com/releasenotes/DeveloperTools/Xcode/Xcode.html

WebObjects 5.3.2: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304041

An important part at the end. This was mentioned before, just to
highlight it again...

-----
Deprecation Notice

Note: As of the release of Xcode 2.4, the Cocoa Java bridge has been
deprecated. This means that, while still supported with Xcode 2.4,
future releases of Xcode may not support the bridge or other dependent
features. As a result, the following additional WebObjects developer
applications are also being deprecated:

EOModeler
EOModeler Plugin
WebObjects Builder
WebServices Assistant
RuleEditor
WOALauncher
This also means that the Xcode Java bridge templates have been
deprecated, and should not be used for new Java bridge-based
development.
-------

PS: Now, I hope the WWDC statement from Apple is coming soon.

Marc
