Connect from Mac to Win via JDBC-Driver DB=Access

  • Subject: Connect from Mac to Win via JDBC-Driver DB=Access

Hallo,
ok, what I try to accomplish is a connection via EOMOdeler from my mac to a windows machine running a access DB.

I got the atinav JDBC-Adaptor, but as it seems it does only run on windows, but not on my mac....:-(. I copied the jar-Files and the key and License.bin's from my windos install and put them into Library/Java/Extension, but no luck. As they are .jar Files, they should work on Mac as well, should they? I get No Driver in Classpath error, so EOModeler doesn't even see the driver. Does that mean, that the Dirver is not working in a MAC environment? I have my mysql-Driver in this location and it does work and the Error message says /Library/Java is in my Classpath, bot moving the files there... no luck either....

Could I somehow have the JDBC-Driver on the windows machine (we talk about a test install, nothing, which will go into production)... and connect to that Driver via WO-EOModeler running on a Mac in the same network? If yes, how?

Thanks for some input.

Second Question: Has someone experience with a MSSQL-JDBC Driver, which runs on a MAC?

Regards,
Ute
