Huh? I never said you were stupid?

But unless you find stuff in the docs that say it should fail, I'd rather think that the behaviour in such cases is undetermined... after all, it's still *your* bug. If you really think this should get fixed, then file an enhancement request.

And while you're at it, you can report the thing I came across yesterday: they should tell you *which* freaking model and connection dict it is that doesn't work when they give this "can't open channel, check your connection dict" exception. Who knows, maybe if *you* report it will get fixed :)
