Hi!
No, I've just asked because one of the reviews of the Hotel (which
I'm reading for the first time about two month after making the
reservation!) said it was a bad neighbourhood. I guess the authors
didn't like it because of prostitution, but I'm used to it (don't
interpret this wrong, my university is surrounded by prostitutes
every time) and I never had a problem. But as I don't know the area,
I got a little concerned about the powerbook (I will change to Intel,
but not right now!).
Some other guy complained about the hotel not having flowers on
the front lobby... WTF!?

I've stayed in the area before, and really didn't find it a
problem. Is it something recent?

Oh man, is it really so bad that you should be in a cab? I'm
staying at 610 Geary (Geary and Leavonworth) which looks to be
just inside the Tenderloin. Last year, I stayed over at 7th and
Howard and didn't have any trouble. I found this (http://
www.sfgate.com/traveler/guide/sf/neighborhoods/tenderloin.shtml).
It looks like it could be a fun neighborhood. I was planning on
walking around.

Hang on a minute... I was confusing the Mark Twain with the Mark
Hopkins. The Mark Twain is at O'farrel and Taylor
which is in the Tenderloin. But it's probably only a $4 cab ride
from Moscone.

Hi!
I booked my stay in Mark Twain Hotel: <http://www.google.com/

+twain&near=San+Francisco,

Some reviews say it's crap, some say it's good. I guess it's
good enough for me, but I got worried about one review, that
says it's a bad location of SF. For you guys who know SF, how
bad is it? I don't mind about prostitution and stuff, but is it
OK to carry my bag with the powerbook every WWDC day (specially
the meet-up day, that ends by 10pm)?
