wotaskd is running. its obviously being a bit antisocial. still,
you're probably pointing me in the right direction.
unfortunately ps auxwww doesn't work with linux. linux doesn't give
very good info on java - all java apps show up as "java"

ps auxwww | grep wotaskd
to confirm this.
