If you're looking for direct HTML to PDF conversion I've been working with PD4ML. It works GREAT.

Depending on what exactly your goal is you might look at these:

1. Apache FOP ( http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/)
2. iText ( http://www.lowagie.com/iText/)
3. jFreeReport (http://www.jfree.org)

We're using FOP to create PDF's but are struggling with direct HTML to PDF
conversion.
