If not, what other books would (anyone) recommend?

Personally I think that this here:

<http://www.amazon.com/WebObjects-Web-Application-Construction-Kit/dp/ 0672320746/ref=sr_1_6/105-9317166-3443652? ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1173458086&sr=1-6>

(WebObjects Application Construction Kit, George Ruzak, 2001)

is a good book to learn a good bunch of WebObjects from the ground up. It doesn't cover everything, leaves questions for several things and is OOOOOOLD.

The problem with it, you must be able to transfer the information to newer development tools like Eclipse or Xcode. I think to work on the book it's probably easier for a beginner to use Xcode (but don't ever use the integrated modeler plugin - use EOModeler instead) because Eclipse is another big step.
